Shogun Leading the Way Yet Again

We have now developed the only programmable LIN bus controller in the Ram conversion industry. This enables us to simply plug the tiny device in-line with the factory window and mirror controller wires and reverse the right and left controls. Major customization of the controller is no longer needed and everything works as per factory with a 5 minute installation process.

We have also just received our liquid printing tank and rolls of film to ensure the OEM finish on our Mustang dash conversions. We have developed the same grain as the factory GT500 and Boss mustangs have on their dash panels. We will also be able to dip all sorts of parts to truly customize your car or truck.

The powertrain is expected to deliver an outstanding combination of best-in-class fuel efficiency, best-in-class torque and impressive capability.”Truck owners have been emphatically asking for it, and Ram will be the only manufacturer to offer a diesel powertrain in the half-ton segment with the 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel,” said Fred Diaz, President and CEO — Ram Truck Brand and Chrysler de Mexico, Chrysler Group LLC. “The half-ton truck market is incredibly competitive, and although we’re honored the Ram 1500 has received a number of prestigious awards, we cannot rest on what we have accomplished, we must keep pushing.”The 2013 Ram 1500 won Motor Trend’s Truck of the Year, The North American Truck of the Year and Truck of Texas — a rare trifecta in the pickup segment. Building on the award-winning truck, the 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel will further stretch its best-in-class fuel economy title lead and continue to raise the innovation bar in one of the automotive industry’s most customer-loyal segments.“The Ram 1500 with 3.0-liter V-6 turbo EcoDiesel and TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission deliver on the demands of truckers by providing best-in-class torque, fuel economy and range. Its emissions are 60 percent less than those produced by diesel powertrains 25 years ago. The impressive combination of torque and fuel economy marks new levels of performance for small V-6 engines.Ram’s newest turbo diesel engine is manufactured by VM Motori, a Chrysler Group diesel engine supplier since 1992.Over the past 10 months, the Ram Truck brand has set an aggressive product cadence. Ram’s big push began in April 2012 with the introduction of the Ram 1500 with class-leading 25 mpg fuel efficiency and innovative features such as Active Level four-corner air suspension.

The Ram Brand followed that news with the launch of the Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty pickups. Their 30,000-pound trailer-tow rating – more than three tons more than their closest competitor — and 850 lb.-ft. of torque are at the top of their class. Most recently, Ram introduced the new 2014 Ram ProMaster van with its own list of best-in-class features, including fuel efficiency, payload, cargo capacity and lowest cost of ownership.

Shogun International’s Stage 1 Building Complete

With the exception of the office and work bays, the new factory is now complete and work is well underway on the stage 2 extension building. Latest photos will be provided in the next few days. Keep an eye on this page!

We expect to have another 10,000 square meter (2 full size football fields) manufacturing facility operational by the end of 2013. We don’t do things in small scale at Shogun. No compromise on conversions no exceptions on price.

Factory Nearing Completion!

We are glad to announce that we are nearing completion of our new factory.  The roof sheets, offices and polished cement flooring will be completed before the end of the month. We will have 6 staff on the ground ready to start conversions early March with the 1st shipment of new RHD Rams scheduled to depart the Philippines early May. We are excited to say the least and we know this move will allow quick conversions to the highest degree of perfection. Where else can you have 16 qualified staff working on your truck simultaneously with QC inspections at every interval of the conversion process.

Electrical engineers, upholsterers, fabricators and fitters have already undertaken thorough training in Australia and we are very pleased to say that their level of workmanship is beyond the current level of expertise offered in Australia. We are proud of our venture and cannot wait to make owning an American vehicle as cheap as possible all the while continuing with the idea of making a RHD conversion better then factory LHD.

Cast Dodge Ram RHD Steering Boxes now being fitted

Have a look at these puppies! The 1st of hundreds of Dodge Ram Steering boxes in RHD mounting configuration. These have the same lock-to-lock not only on the steering wheel but also the pitman arm. These are not like the twin steer or F350 boxes like other conversion workshops offer. These are 100% mirror of the original in torque and lock-to-lock ratio. Using the OEM pitman arm and caps, once again Shogun provides the answer to the industries requirement for true mirror image conversions.

RHD Mustang Electric Steering Racks Now Being Installed

These are 100% mirror image racks with factory steering feel and road control with the factory parts still in use. We have taken a rack and flipped it the way Ford or GM would produce it for RHD. They have been thoroughly road tested and we are glad to say that they are perfect. Make sure if you have a +2011 Mustang or +2013 Camaro or ZL1 that you go no where else for your conversion.

New Direction for a New Beginning

The popularity for the Dodge Ram heavy duty trucks is far surpassing any of our expectations. With our brand new steering box, brand new firewall sections, plastic heater box components and countless other improvements, these trucks are becoming second to none in conversion quality and customer satisfaction.

We are so busy with the trucks that we have decided to take a step back away from the performance vehicles and concentrate on these trucks and push volumes in the Philippines. We are dedicating our new 2,200 square meter factory purely for trucks and once we have an operational production line going, we will expand into another shed (within 2 months) and continue on with the popular Camaro and Mustang models each in their own factory.

We also intend on converting Australia’s 1st 2014 Silverado and 2013 Dodge Ram heavy duty models in a dedicated R & D facility in early 2013.

We will continue to offer conversions on the +2012 GT500 Mustangs or the +2012 Camaro ZL1′s in our facility in Australia but other models will be regretfully turned away. With the costs involved in the steering rack, we believe the market will only want the top spec vehicles considering the prices.

2012/2013 Camaro Dashboard Now installing

We decided to upgrade even the base model 2012 dashes with suede inserts to replicate the look on the ZL1 and 1LE model Camaro’s. With this enhancement, we have transformed the interior of the Camaro into a soft touch and very respectable dashboard.

New PLC’s Now Being Installed

We have just received our latest version of the PLC (programmable logic controller) that we can install on any vehicle. These replace the factory flasher unit and have load sensing as well as trailer outputs for the Ram trucks. The factory American vehicles have stop and indicator on one wire which causes a nightmare when trying to separate the 2 signals. These PLC’s make it easy. They are a non serviceable part and designed and tested to run with the life of the vehicle.

Worlds 1st Camaro RHD Steering Rack Ready for Production

We recently received our 1st prototype unit for the Camaro ZL1 and 2013 Camaro models. Without too much attention to detail, this rack was purely designed to confirm fitment and clearance of the new housing, so now testing begins before we can produce the racks in numbers. We have 3 ZL1′s in the workshop and another 2 due to arrive before Christmas. We are sure to be the only company in the industry to offer a proper steering conversion for the electric steering rack model Camaro’s.

Rapid Expansion Means a New Facility!

In the last 12 months we have experienced a steep incline of work incoming and with our current workload at an all time peak, Shogun has decided to expand overseas  into the Philippines. Although a RAWS facility will still remain in Australia to complete used vehicle conversions, new vehicle plating and any warranty work, a new workshop is being built right now to produce vehicles for the world market and new vehicles for the Australian market under New Low Volume.

What does this mean for our customers?

Increased man power means quicker turn around. We have proved a Camaro can be converted in 4 days. We will decrease that to 2 days for all vehicles.

Strict quality control guidelines can be introduced at every stage of the conversion. As the majority of our Australian staff will be based in the Philippines, we can manage the conversion process in the same way we currently do, but at a larger scale.

Converted RHD vehicles will be thoroughly test driven on a test track before shipping to Australia.

Shipping prices to remain the same including shipping from CA to Philippines and then into Australia. Cars ~$3200 each. Trucks ~$4200 each.

We are planing a large R & D facility which will prototype the new vehicles as soon as they are released.

We would like to offer our clients a special tour around the workshop like we do in Australia, but we can also offer you the ability to test drive your car in LHD format then in 3 days, drive it in RHD!

We plan on delivering cars into countries like India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Africa, Hong Kong. A full list is below. If you are from one of these countries, email us now to find out how we can import you a vehicle.

Camaro ZL1 Goes Under the Knife!

With the arrival of our ZL1 Camaro we quickly removed the electric variable ratio steering rack and we are weeks away from having a proper mirror image steering rack. This is a mirror flip of the OEM hardware using the same methods as the manufacturer to ensure a perfect bolt on steering rack that works exactly the same as GM designed it to.

We have photographed the GM rack next to the 2011 mustang electric steering rack which we are also prototyping.

The all new ZL1 Camaro arrives at Shogun Early August!

We will be receiving one of the 1st Camaro ZL1′s in Australia and work has already begun in prototyping the car with its electric steering and new dashboard insert.

As far as we know, we will have the 1st electric steering rack sorted for these beasts in a matter of weeks allowing us to convert these vehicles with little effort and replicate the factory steering feel using a new RHD steering rack.

Warning: Do NOT allow your performance car to be converted using a cross shaft steering conversion or converting back to hydraulic steering like other workshops are trying to offer. They are both primitive and you might as well use a chain drive system, which somehow is still allowed in the industry.
